The THIRD Stake Conference

HELLLLO!!!!!

Wow it has been a long time, sorry everybody last week I didn’t write I’m sure that you all we quiet disappointment to not hear from “The Adventures of Mr. Elder Haddon.” But need not fear they are back and better than ever!

The quote for the last couple of weeks is from my dear companion Elder Moe, after one of our long trips. We barely crawled up to our beds he fell on it
and said, “I am dead……. I can’t move my entire body……… my legs are sore……. my arms are……” I fell asleep at that point, but that pretty much gives you a feel of the last few weeks here in the office.

The last couple of weeks have been crazy to say the least we have been to or through every single area in Sweden. Last week we had to drive to Västra Frölunda, then till Helsingborg, and then go to Umeå. It was a three day
Trip!  It was defiantly a fantastic voyage, but it defiantly tires you out! It
was a great experience for me because I literally haven’t left Stockholm for over a year.

That was something that happened in the last couple of weeks that I found amazing. I had a hard time for some time, because I hadn’t really left Stockholm. I literally have served in every single ward in the Stockholm Stake. I kind of had the thought that I didn’t really get to see much of this beautiful land because of that, almost like I was shortchanged.  But Two Sundays ago, I had an experience that changed everything.

I was able to go to my third, Stockholm Stake Conference. (Yes, Third.)  I was a little bitter about having to go to this, *again* seeing all of the same people and not getting to see something new or different, when in all actuality that was right. BUT, surprisingly to me, it was a fantastic experience. I was able to see again all of the people I held dear, people I had taught, taught with, and even those I baptized, and re-activated.

I was able to meet those I baptized, going further in the church, and
seeing one preparing to go on a mission herself. I saw members I helped bring back into activity, who are still going strong, working hard at their callings and even going to the temple for their first times. The experience I had was indescribable. I had never felt so strongly the love I had for these people, and I felt a happiness I have never experienced before.

It was a very large spiritual confirmation to me, that there was a reason why I stayed in Stockholm. I was able to see all of those I had helped and who had helped me, and that every area I was in, was exactly where the Lord needed me to be. It was a reunion of all of my great friends I had met, and I would not have changed any of it for the world.

I just want to say that I know the work we are doing here is Sweden, is the Lord’s work. I say this literally I absolutely love being here and would want to be anywhere else. Thank you all for the support and love and hope to hear from you all soon.

Love,

Äldste Haddon
