3 weeks down...101 to go!
We just got our most recent e-mail from Elder Haddon on his second pday in the MTC, for us the time is going faster than we had expected but I think he's living everyday at a time.
He said that he knows the language about two times better than he did last week, but it is still tough to get the hang of it. He wants to figure out a better way to study it but doesn't have any ideas (do you have any ideas for him?) His companion is equally lost in the language so it's hard for them both while working together, he's just glad he's not doing in on his own!
He got his first care package in the MTC and now he's hooked and is already requesting more! We don't know if we'll be able to keep up with all this missionary stuff but we'll have to try!
MTC life is something he's getting use to! He said that the other day he and his compaion and roommates went to go work out and shower. When they were done, they were only in their towels and they realized that none of them had a key to get into their room! He said it took almost an hour of walking around the MTC in their towels to find someone who could let them into their rooms...lesson learned I guess!
He's also ran into a lot of friends there who left before and after him; Justin Basset, Ky Bender and Ben Rugg and his friend Ethan just got there so he's on the search for him too. He said the food is good but it's messing up everyone's digestion...he's gotten use to it though! (lol the things Elders decide to mention!)
So, all in all, everyhing is going well! His time is limited to email so our information is too!
Thanks for all of your love and support, he really appreciates it!
...Until next week!

Thanksgiving in the MTC
Today was Elder Haddon's first P Day in the MTC and since it was Thanksgiving, he was very limited on time to e-mail but he was able to send some picutres and some good info!
He said that he's enjoying the MTC and it is a very spiritual experience so far. He has to teach a lesson in Swedish everyday, the only trouble with that is....he can't speak Swedish! So it's challenging but he's working through it. Today was also the first time he's done his own laundry from start to finish...oh the things a mission will teach you!
The kid in the middle is a friend of Ty's named Ben that left a couple weeks before he did, and the friend on the far right is Luke Jones, he has been a friend of his since he was 12 and got called to the same mission and reported to the MTC on the same day Ty did.
There's Elder Jones again in the laundry room/computer room
The rest of the pictures are of his district in the MTC, all of these missionaries will be serving with him in Sweden.
MTC
Elder Tyson Haddon entered the MTC on Wednesday, November 14th. Mom, Dad, Taylor and Hunter took him to Provo, ate breakfast with him at the famous Ihop, and took him to the MTC to begin his great missionary adventure! Lots of tears were shed and hugs were given, but we are so happy that is where he is and what he is choosing to do. This blog will follow the stories that he shares and the amazing experiences he is going to have while he gives 2 years of his life to the Lord.
We have already received our first letter from Elder Haddon and here are the things he has shared:
1. After four days in the MTC, he had already given 2 lessons in Swedish, it was tough and he's having a hard time learning the language. He said that he knows that if he relies on the Lord, he will be able to learn it. He's just use to things coming to him more easily so this has been a challenge.
2. He has been called to Serve as a district leader over other missionaries. He really enjoys his district.
3. His companion is a great guy, and they're both working hard to learn Swedish
4. The food is good and they let him eat a lof of it which makes him happy!
5.He wants and NEEDS letters and love sent his way!
Overall, he is doing well and we're excited for him! Look for weekly updates on his mission and to hear more about how he is doing!
